Technology
State-of-the-art wastewater treatment
01
Core technology
Membrane bioreactor (MBR) - a combination of activated sludge and micro- or ultrafiltration membranes.
Activated sludge is used to remove contamination in the wastewater. Microorganisms remove carbonaceous, nitrogenous, and phosphorous matter.
Micro- and ultrafiltration membranes are used for producing solid-free effluent.
The automation software manages pumps, membranes, and the aeration/mixing of the MBR. The system adapts itself automatically to fluctuating wastewater inflow.
02
Water production
Non-potable
The MBR treats wastewater into reusable water for non-potable applications. The water can be reused for irrigation, laundry, toilet flushing or any other technical purposes.
Potable
An automated reverse osmosis module produces potable water. Reverse osmosis is managed by software that ensures water quality, flow rates, pressure, and also optimizes energy consumption.
Treated water meets potable water quality standards following EU drinking water guidelines.
03
Automation
All chemical, biological, and mechanical processes of the Spacedrip MBR systems including pumps, membranes, and the aeration/mixing of the biological process are managed by software and automation, including 5+ sensors.
Automation reduces maintenance, operating, and electricity costs by up to 70%.
All systems are monitored remotely.
04
Disinfection
Our disinfection module, including electrolysis-based chlorination and UV steriliser, keeps pipes clean of microbes. A minimal amount of chlorine is added to the pipes to eliminate potential contamination.
